Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI), the 100% owner of Sumitomo Crane (SHI) → Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries (HSC), became the 100% owner of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes (HSC) after signing an agreement to acquire a 34% stake owned by Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM). SHI is Link-Belt Cranes parent company HCM and SHI merged the crawler crane business in 2002 to form the current HSC.
