New CanonSuper 35mm 4K Sensor and 5.7K Full Frame Global Shutter Sensor

Canon has announced two new sensors. It is equipped with LI7080SA, a super 35mm 4K sensor, and LI5030SA, a 35mm full-size 19 million pixel sensor equipped with a global shutter that simultaneously exposes all pixels.
Of the two new sensors, SA seems to be the most commonly used for LI7080 digital cinema cameras.LI7080SA
LI7080SA is in the spotlight as a 4K compatible super 35mm 10.8 million pixel CMOS sensor suitable for high-end security cameras and cinema cameras.
Although there is not much information about the sensor, Canon says it utilizes high-speed signal readout technology to enable valid pixel readings of 4536×2400 at 14 bits up to 120 fps.The pixel pitch of the sensor is 6.4 μm, which is quite similar to the 6.075 μm of the ALEV-IV sensor used in the ARRIALEXA35.It is still a mystery what kind of future digital camera the sensor will be used for. The LI5030SA is equipped with a global shutter that simultaneously exposes all pixels.With a pixel pitch of 6.4 μm, Canon claims the sensor can achieve high dynamic ranges and low noise.
